Not long ago, this room was still a work in progress.
Hours of work, preparation, decisions and sometimes even doubts… and then, little by little, everything started to take shape.
Today, a new step has been completed with this bathroom now ready to welcome our guests in better conditions.

After buying the house, a new adventure began: the renovations.
Little by little, room by room, the property started to transform.
Cleaning, repairing, repainting, sometimes demolishing… and often rebuilding.

Our goal was simple: to preserve the charm of this historic house while creating comfortable spaces to welcome our future guests.

Act 1 – The spark: how Monte Blanco became an obvious choice
Some decisions take years to mature.
Others happen in just a few minutes.
In 2022, we both needed air.
Light.
Sunshine.
During a stay in a guesthouse that August, something shifted.
What if we changed our lives?
We started looking at the South of France.
Visits. Projections. Doubts.
Then one day, almost by chance, we visited this house in Montblanc.
Without much expectation.
The visit was supposed to last one hour.
It lasted more than two.
Each of us walked through the house quietly, imagining what it could become.
At the end, our friend Frédéric — who came to keep us grounded — simply said:
""This is your house. It looks like you.""
We looked at each other.
And we knew.
A few days later, we made an offer.
Monte Blanco had just begun.

This week, we completely rebuilt the junction between the ""Chambre Bleue"" and its future private bathroom.
There was no clean transition between the two spaces.
Everything has been redone: framing, alignment, finishing structure.
In a few days, once the jointing and painting are complete, it will be impossible to tell that this doorway has been entirely recreated.
A successful renovation is the one you don't notice.

In December, Béziers is transformed and offers this year a truly immersive illuminated trail, inspired by the world of mountains and winter.

This December, the estate is busy with a series of small and large improvements designed to enhance the comfort of our future guests. Between new outdoor features, the restoration of a historic piece and a soft winter atmosphere, here's a look behind the scenes at Les Gîtes de Monte Blanco.
🌿 A new convivial space around the pétanque court
We have created a brand-new area around the boulodrome: synthetic turf, fresh planting, and—our favourite part—the restoration of an old iron bench discovered during the renovation of Le Pressoir. After decades forgotten on the property, it will soon begin a new life under the shade of the magnificent cedar tree.
✨ Le Pressoir continues to evolve
Although recently completed, the exterior of Le Pressoir is still being refined: painting, lighting, planting… Every detail matters to offer guests a calm, elegant and welcoming setting from the very first moment.
